Chris Emery is extremely excited to be a part of Sacramento Comedy Spot. It has always been his dream to perform comedy ever since he saw the Three Stooges when he was five. Other than comedy, Chris also loves beer, roast beef sandwiches, Batman, and smelling the inside of an empty Junior Mints box. It’s not glamorous, but it’s his life. Chris teaches improv at the Comedy Spot.
Corky has been performing and teaching at the Comedy Spot for over five years. He has been an instructor for the youth program, sketch program, all levels of improv, and Taste Test. Jason has been performing since he was in middle school. His love for acting and directing theatre led him to NYC in 2001, where his dreams were dashed by real world monetary obligations. It wasn’t until a trip to a spoken-word open mic on Broadway, in Sacramento, that he happened upon a small building with casting and class announcements for the newly established Sacramento Comedy Spot. That was in 2005, Jason has been hooked on improv ever since. Jason was a founding member of Anti-Cooperation League. In 2012, Jason moved to San Diego where he was a founding member of Finest City Improv. He coached numerous teams at FCI including their house team, World According to. And now he’s back in Sacramento with his amazing wife and daughter CJ. You can see Jason perform with Anti-Cooperation League.
Justine studied Theatre Arts at Cosumnes River College and was involved in several plays as an actor, assistant director, and stage manager. She began performing improv in 2014 with a group of her theatre friends, calling themselves “Home IMPROVment”. They practiced in backyards and school parking lots and put on free shows at the late Beatnik Books in Roseville, CA. From there, she began interning at Sacramento Comedy Spot, took classes, and eventually worked her way up to perform on the main stage. Other than performing on stage at the Comedy Spot, Justine has instructed Improv Taste Test, has lead corporate improv workshops, is currently Harold Night Coordinator and coach, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator, and an Improv 101 instructor. When she is not at the Comedy Spot, she is watching The Office or Parks and Rec for the 100th time.

While juggling her performances in local theater productions, Michelle has been a part of The Free Hooch Comedy Troupe and was an original member of Anti-Cooperation League. After moving out of Sacramento in 2009, Michelle is excited to be back in town and to once again be a part of the Sacramento Comedy Spot.
Voted “Most likely to accidentally be in everyone’s way all the time when standing in a public space” in high school, Ryan has always dreamed of converting his spastic and disruptive presence into dashing comedic escapades on stage, and although the number of people and inanimate objects he runs into on a daily basis has not diminished, neither has his entertainers spirit. Ryan is currently an acting student, and hopes to entertain people through comedy for many moons to come.
