This highly curated festival aims to showcase a broad range of styles and perspectives among women in comedy while guaranteeing that every show—and every performer—delivers top-notch comedy.

Sacramento Comedy Spot is proud to produce this all-women comedy event. The lineup includes nationally recognized sketch groups, improvisers, and stand-up comics, as well as extraordinary local talent.

FemmeFest standouts include Femmedy Trio (Los Angeles), a group of comedic musicians with sassy strength and clever lyrics. Femmedy Trio has appeared on Funny or Die Network, Women in Comedy Festival, Comedy Central Stage, Second City Hollywood, The PIT (NYC), and have been lauded as “Haim meets Lonely Island Mashup” by Splitsider Magazine.

Felicia Michaels, a Los Angeles-based comedian who performs regularly at the world-famous Comedy Store and has appeared on MTV, Comedy Central, and Showtime, will also be part of FemmeFest 2019.

Other featured performers include stand-ups Krista Fatka (Oakland), winner of the 2017 Sacramento Stand-Up Competition, Jessica Wellington (Los Angeles), Dalia Malek (San Francisco), Sierra Slackers, an improv team from Reno, and The Liar’s Club Podcast from Los Angeles.

FemmeFest will also feature local stand-up comedians Jaime Fernandez, Melissa McGillicuddy, Shahera Hyatt, Amy Estes, Regina Givens, Jaclyn Weiand, Rhoda Ramone, and Emma Haney. Improv is represented by Lady Business, Sacramento’s longest-running all-female team, and local troupes Improv Jazz, Rivet, and Character Circus, a monthly staple of the Comedy Spot, hosted by a runaway circus bear and a bearded lady.

Sacramento FemmeFest was created in 2019 by comedians Betsaida LeBron, Melissa McGillicuddy, and Brian Crall.
