Terms & Conditions
About our shows: We have many types of shows to appeal to a wide range of comedic tastes, and some styles that may be new to you. Our improv and sketch comedy shows are more like a play or other traditional theatre experience, rather than a stand-up show or nightclub atmosphere. Improv and sketch cast members do not interact with the audience during the performance. Before booking a large group for a performance, we encourage you to come by in advance and see a show on your own. We might even offer a free ticket for you to sample a show and be sure it is the right fit for your group. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. There are no refunds on classes or shows unless canceled or changed by the venue. Class space is limited, and reservations are final. Please provide a valid telephone number/email address at checkout so we can contact you, if needed. Should you need to transfer to another class start date, please email email@example.com.
- All seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open 10-15 minutes prior to showtime. For best seating, please arrive early with your entire party.
- Tickets not picked up by showtime may be released to the public for resale.
- There is no minimum age requirement to see shows at the Comedy Spot, though our club, shows, and content are geared towards those ages 17+. Our shows should be considered PG13 or R-rated.
- Heckling or interrupting any performance at the Comedy Spot is discouraged and may be cause for removal.
We want to make sure everyone has the best experience possible at the Comedy Spot. If you have questions, special needs, or requests, please contact us at (916) 444-3137 or firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss concerns and potential options.
THE CAST OF RIOT
Charlie Lemcke began performing at the Sacramento Comedy Spot in 2012. Originally diving into the Harold program, he branched out to additional teams, including the long-form RIOT and has since added to his game-based skills with the show Short Cuts. Being a fan of sketch comedy for as long as he can remember, he’s proud to have collaborated with hilarious SCS performers and writers on sketch shows including: Let’s Get Weird, Secret Handshake Society, Cardboard Space Adventures, and Squad Patrol. Hosting a vast repertoire of impressions, Charlie has likely emulated both your favorite and most despised pop icons. Charlie feels fortunate to have worked with Comedy Spot alumni on several film projects in recent years.
Jackson “Jack” Brown is not the American musician and songwriter who has sold over 18 million albums in the United States. He has sold considerably fewer albums, and the songs he penned for The Eagles were so bad that they led to his prosecution under the Alien and Sedition Acts. Jackson and Jack both have the similar names and questionable hair styles, but that is where the similarities end. Jack is very grateful to be able to perform at the Sacramento Comedy Spot, as they have provided him with a platform to espouse his vehement belief that Dinger is better than Slamson. Please bend his ear after a show if you have any wardrobe advice for him.
Born in 1978 to a mermaid and a Filipino produce distributor, Joshua Parrera has always had a flare for the dramatic. Because his parents could only surface from the ocean deep once in a blue moon for 6 fun filled days, he learned “land speak” in one afternoon by watching the Dukes of Hazard, He-man, Jem & the Holograms, and HBO from the 1980s. He can be found at fancy restaurants eating whole lobsters, shell and all, with his wife comforting onlookers by telling them he was really, really hungry.
Michelle Petro is an alumni of CSULB. She, like so many successful people, got her degree in theatre. Her adventurous life led her to The Sacramento Comedy Spot where you can catch her making funnies with other successful people. Michelle is an improv instructor at the Comedy Spot.
Myri Valdez grew up in a small farm town in the Central Valley. It was there where she developed her immunity to lava-like temperatures and where her avocado addiction first began. Myri discovered her love of improv while at CSU Bakersfield, where she took improv classes taught by the magnificent Mandy Rees. When she’s not busy laughing at puns or burning her bra, you’ll find her giving unsolicited life advice to strangers, and looking at adoptable dogs online she can’t possibly rescue.
